Program Description
The UA College of Pharmacy offers PhD degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and in Pharmacology & Toxicology. Students have the option to choose from four graduate program tracks: Drug Discovery & Development, Pharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics, Health and Pharmaceutical Outcomes, Pharmacology & Toxicology.
Our graduate programs will immerse you in well-funded research and educational opportunities in classrooms and laboratories at various sites. You will complete three to four laboratory rotations prior to selecting a research mentor that aligns with your interests. Additionally, throughout your curriculum, you will participate in regular seminars and symposiums designed to enhance your career development skills. Travel to scientific conferences is encouraged and annual funding helps defray costs. Each PhD graduate program track has an average time to graduation of less than 5 years.
