Program Description
The Master of Science (MS) in Medical Product Quality (MPQ) focuses on the systems and regulations required to ensure the quality of drugs, biologics, and medical devices. Students learn how to apply this knowledge to the field of medical product development and manufacturing. The degree is awarded upon completion of at least 32 units of course work. Course requirements include courses in quality assurance/control, and at least one course each in regulatory science, CMC, risk management, and statistics. Students gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of quality systems, audits, and compliance standards used in global biomedical manufacturing. A specific plan of study should be developed with graduate advisers before beginning the program.

Applicants must also provide current resume/CV and one-page Personal Statement addressing their interest in the program. USC does not accept credential evaluation reports from outside agencies (e.g., WES, ECE, etc.) Admitted students must verify that they have been awarded a bachelor’s-level degree from an accredited institution in the United States or an equivalent degree from an institution outside the United States. Those who received a degree from an institution outside the United States will need to obtain a “Certification of Studies for USC” from the International Education Research Foundation (IERF).
