  pgrad_fic_other_info: 'M.S. students are not offered graduate research assistantships upon admission to the program and students accepted into the program should arrange to have the financial resources to self finance tuition, fees and personal living expenses for the entire duration of their training.  Occasionally M.S. students will be offered positions as research assistants at a competitive hourly rate to assist faculty in funded research effort during their studies.'

If you are self funding your tuition and living expenses, please indicate that clearly in the statement of purpose. All applicants will automatically be considered for funding.  However, we can accept qualified applicants that are able to self finance all their educational expenses to study in the PEP program that meet our minimum standards but do not qualify for funding.

  pgrad_prog_desc: 'PEP works closely with state, national, and international leaders to help guide policy evaluation and development and to conduct rigorous original research evaluating pharmaceutical and pharmacy services. Our program utilizes an applied approach where graduate trainees gain strong analytic skills that have applications in Pharmacoeconomics, Comparative Effectiveness Research, Epidemiology, Patient Reported Outcomes and Health Policy Analysis. Graduates of the PEP program have successfully pursued careers in industry based Health Economics and Outcomes (HEOR) positions where persons communicate value propositions for pharmaceutical based technologies as well as careers in academia, health payers, managed care organizations and in government. The PEP program shares some curricular competencies with other graduate programs in Pharmacy Administration, Social and Administrative Sciences, Pharmacy Care Administration, Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy and Pharmaceutical Health Services Research with an emphasis on evaluating pharmaceutical effectiveness, value and safety.'
