Program Description
The Health Services Research in Pharmacy (HSRP) PhD program at the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy is dedicated to advancing medication outcomes. The program is designed to provide rigorous, interdisciplinary training in theory-based research into improving patient outcomes, including knowledge and understanding of medication use, patient and provider communication and behaviors, patient safety, and healthcare systems.
The HSRP PhD at UW–Madison program trains the next generation of health services researchers to address patient and community needs. Combining pharmacy and pharmaceutical knowledge with theories and insights from social and management sciences, medicine, epidemiology, history, and economics, the program equips graduates to innovate and improve health care delivery.
