Program Description

Combining leadership and professional development content in a series of health care business and management courses, the Pharmacy Leadership Graduate program customizes the learning and growth experience. Pharmacist professionals, technicians, and student pharmacists will be prepared for career advancement in numerous healthcare roles. The program has a uniquely combined curriculum with courses provided by the Winkle College of Pharmacy, Lindner College of Business MBA Program, and College of Allied Health Sciences Master's in Health Administration (MHA) and Master's in Health Informatics (MHI) Programs.

In addition to the 27 hours of didactic coursework, students are required to complete a 3 credit hour capstone course with an applied project reflecting application and integration of their knowledge and skills in pharmacy leadership and management. Projects must be pre-approved by the Course Coordinator. The student will have project oversight and advising from a three-member capstone committee. This capstone prepares the student for independent application of leadership and management skills.

The Taylor-Frank Fund was endowed to provide scholarships designated for graduate student support. The Marianne F. Ivey Fund was endowed to provide scholarships designated for graduate student support in the Pharmacy Leadership Program. Together, these funds provide annual scholarships awarded to students pursuing the Graduate Certificate or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy Leadership. Scholarship amounts will cover tuition of one course in the program. In some cases, smaller amounts will be awarded.
