Program Description

A 45-credit Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree is being offered by the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. This degree program can be completed in five full-time semesters (fall, spring, summer, fall, and spring). Students can customize the concentration of their focus through available elective courses and by the selection of a thesis advisor in a specific field of study. Faculty from the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences, as well as other faculty from throughout the University, are engaged in the provision of instruction and thesis advice. Thesis advisors are available in the following disciplines: medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, cosmeceuticals, pharmacogenomics, toxicology, neuroscience, oncology, immunology, biochemistry, and biomedical engineering.

Application Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree: A U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or an equivalent degree from a foreign country.
• Preferred minimum GPA: Undergraduate GPA of 2.70 is preferred. Candidates with a lower GPA will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Transcripts: Transcripts from all colleges attended must be submitted to PharmGrad. Students already enrolled at WNE must request their WNE transcript be submitted to PharmGrad to complete their application.
• Recommendations: A minimum of two evaluator names must be submitted within your PharmGrad application; at least one recommendation must be from a professor.
• Qualified candidates may be invited to participate in an interview and complete a writing sample.
• A current resume or CV must be uploaded to the Documents section within PharmGrad.
