    Grade-Point Average: A cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 during last 66 hours of undergraduate course work on college transcripts. At least 22 hours of coursework must be in the basic or applied sciences. Programmatic pre-requisites are classes in chemistry and biology; however, work experience can substitute for the courses.

    Personal Statement: Applicants must submit a personal statement of career goals, preparation and readiness for graduate school, and motivational factors related to pursuing graduate study in dietary supplements and medical cannabis.

    The online M.S. in Dietary Supplements and Medical Cannabis offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary exploration of two rapidly evolving industries. Building on the University of Mississippi’s more than half-century legacy of research in cannabis and dietary supplements, this SACSCOC-accredited program provides students with a strong foundation in the history, science, regulation, research, development, and consumer use of both fields.

    Delivered online in an asynchronous, part-time format, the program is designed for working professionals seeking to advance in the dietary supplement or medical cannabis industries. The curriculum dedicates equal focus to both disciplines, preparing students to contribute to areas such as government regulation, research, product innovation, quality assurance, and industry leadership.

    As medical cannabis continues to expand in highly regulated markets and the dietary supplement industry grows in response to consumer interest in health and wellness, this program equips students nationwide with the knowledge and expertise needed to support and shape these evolving industries.
