Program Description The Purdue University College of Pharmacy offers a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) program in Health Outcomes and Translational Research, with options to pursue research in two tracks: 1) Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences and 2) Health Services, Outcomes, and Policy.

Students who complete the Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences program will understand the process of conducting high quality clinical and translational research. Graduates are highly qualified for careers in academics, industry, government, or other regulatory agencies. The following specialty focus areas are available:
- Pharmacogenomics
- Precision Medicine
- PK/PD Modeling
- Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy
- Clinical Trials
- Translational Pharmacology

Applicants who are interested pursuing a doctoral research in Health Services, Outcomes, and Policy track can conduct research in multiple areas, inlcuding:

Health outcomes/health services research
Medication adherence and patient behavior
Medication safety
Pharmacoeconomics
Pharmacoepidemiology
Health literacy
Health disparities and community engaged research
Education assessment
