Program Description | The graduate program in Pharmaceutical Sciences provides education and research in the main disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences, including medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics. The graduate program contains an entry level M.S. degree. Faculty research interests include all major areas of pharmaceutical sciences including drug design and synthesis, neuroscience, cancer, drug delivery, gene delivery, diabetes, antiinfective drug discovery, toxicology, biochemistry and pharmacology. Our Faculty are externally funded, leaders in their fields and outstanding educators. A description of individual Faculty Research interests is available online. The graduate program encompasses a curriculum which provides basic foundational coursework as well as specialized courses. Students are exposed to research in their first month in the program and a research thesis is required for graduation. Student teaching is not required and students typically graduate with their degree in 2 years. |
