Program Description
The MS Translational Pharmacology program at The Ohio State University equips students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to contribute meaningfully to drug development teams across industry, regulatory, and academic settings. With a focus on translational pharmacology—the science that connects drug discovery, development, and regulation with the optimal use of therapeutics in patients—this program emphasizes real-world application over bench-based research.
100% online and flexible, this graduate degree is ideal for both early-career professionals and recent graduates seeking specialized training in areas such as clinical trial design, preclinical safety assessment, and regulatory science. Students can tailor their experience through coursework in toxicology, safety pharmacology, and clinical pharmacology, gaining a strong foundation in translational science principles without the need for lab-based training.
Designed for individuals with a background in the biosciences or health-related fields, the program supports diverse career goals—whether you're entering the workforce, advancing within your current role, or pivoting into a new area of drug development. A combined PharmD/MS option is also available to eligible professional students at Ohio State.
