Program Description
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers a Master of Science (MS) program in Pharmaceutical Sciences designed to meet the growing demand for highly skilled research assistants and laboratory managers in pharmaceutical and bioanalytical research. This unique, interdisciplinary program leverages strong research and resource capabilities to provide students with hands-on training using state-of-the-art instruments, technologies, and methodologies relevant to modern pharmaceutical research.
Students will develop essential strategic, intellectual, and technical skills to pursue careers in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, regulatory agencies, or continue their education in PhD or PharmD programs in New York State and beyond. The curriculum includes foundational didactic courses in the first two semesters, followed by specialized coursework in the third semester. Throughout the program, students will also receive focused training in experimental design and scientific communication.
This workforce-focused MS program is designed to be completed in three semesters. An accelerated option is available, allowing students to complete the degree in one calendar year (fall/spring/summer).
