Program Description | The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers a Master of Science (MS) program in pharmaceutical sciences that is designed to to meet the continuous need of highly skilled and qualified research assistants and laboratory managers in the field of pharmaceutical and bioanalytical research programs. This is a unique interdisciplinary MS program with strong research and resource capabilities, where students can be trained on specialized state of the art instruments, technologies and methods needed in contemporary research programs in pharmaceutical sciences. Students in this program will gain the essential strategic, intellectual, and technical skills necessary to enter careers in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, regulatory agencies, or pursue higher degree (PhD and/or PharmD) in the state of New York and beyond. The program will consist of foundational didactic courses in the first year followed by more specialized teaching in the second year, including specific training in experimental design and scientific communication throughout the program duration, which is anticipated to take two years to complete. |
