To do this we give our graduate students solid training in the pharmaceutical-related basic sciences and create an environment in which students can develop into independent and creative scientific problem-solvers. This multidisciplinary graduate program has a dual focus: pharmaceutical sciences and drug development, and pharmacogenomics, which is the application of genetics and genomics to drug action and disposition. The result of this dual focus is that it trains the next generation of scientists to explore new drugs in novel ways.' pgrad_pubpriv: Public pgrad_qualify: Required pgrad_quant: '' pgrad_recommended_overall_gpa_considered: '' pgrad_semi: Required pgrad_thesis: Required pgrad_toefl_req: 'TOEFL or IELTS' pgrad_unk_jb_plce: '' pgrad_verbal: '' pg_last_year_average_gpa: '' pg_last_year_number_accepted: '10' phgd_pi_video_embed: format: restricted_html value: '' program_deadline_done: - 'Yes' program_description_done: - 'Yes' program_location: CA program_name: 'Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics' program_start_term: - Fall program_statistics_graduated: 'Yes' program_statistics_previous: 'Yes' program_stats_done: - 'Yes' required_rotations: - PGRAD_RESE school_city: 'San Francisco' school_country: US school_state: CA school_street_1: 'UCSF PSPG - Rebecca Dawson' school_street_2: '600 16th St. Box 2280' school_street_3: '' school_zip: '94518' short_name: 'U of California San Francisco' sids: '66' type_of_financial_support_available: - PGRAD_WAIVER - PGRAD_STP - PGRAD_DEPT
